Caring for your mask — cleaning, storage, and maintenance

Keeping your mask clean and properly stored will extend its life and ensure each session is hygienic.

Cleaning after each use

Wipe the mask down after every session using a soft cloth lightly dampened with water, then wrung out firmly. Do not use a soaking wet cloth.

Never use any of the following — they can damage the surface and degrade the LEDs:

  • Alcohol or alcohol-based wipes
  • Alkaline agents or solvents
  • Thinner or benzine
  • Polish remover (nail polish remover)
  • Polishing powder or abrasive cleaners
  • Hot water
  • Chemicals or disinfectants

Do not leave any beauty serum, gel, or skincare product on the mask after use. Wipe it clean before storing.

Cleaning the eye pad

The eye pad (the soft cushioned part that sits against your eyes) can be removed and washed separately if it becomes heavily soiled.

  • To remove: Grip the eye pad and pull it away from the mask
  • To wash: Rinse with water and allow it to dry completely before reattaching
  • To reattach: Press it firmly back into place and confirm there are no gaps between the pad and the mask before using

Do not use the mask if the eye pad is not fully and securely attached.

Storage

Store the mask in the dust bag provided. Avoid storing in:

  • Direct sunlight
  • High humidity or damp areas (including the bathroom)
  • Extreme temperatures — very hot or freezing environments
  • Inside a car on a hot day
  • Near heating appliances or sources of heat
  • Near magnets or other electronic devices

If you haven't used the mask in a while

If the mask has been unused for 6 months or more, inspect it before your next session. Check that the LEDs are lighting up normally and look for any cracks or visible damage. Do not use if anything appears abnormal — contact us at support@chouohctokyo.com.

Battery care

The built-in lithium-ion battery is not replaceable. Over time with repeated charging and use, battery performance will naturally decline slightly — this is normal and not a defect. If the battery drains significantly faster than expected, see our troubleshooting guide.

If you plan not to use the mask for an extended period, charge it to full and then run a brief test session once a month to keep the battery healthy.

Can I use it internationally?

Yes — the CHOUOHC Radiance LED Mask is dual voltage and works worldwide straight out of the box. The AC adapter is compatible with 100–240V and 50/60Hz, covering every country's standard household voltage. Always use the provided USB cable and AC adapter rather than third-party accessories.
