Is the LED light safe for my eyes?
Yes. The CHOUOHC Radiance LED Mask has built-in eye protection — the eye pad sits directly over your eyes during use, shielding them from direct light exposure throughout the session.
Do I need to wear goggles or additional eye protection?
No. The built-in eye pad is designed specifically for this purpose. You don't need to source or wear any additional eye protection — just make sure the eye pad is properly attached and seated against your face before starting a session.
Should I avoid looking at the lights?
The eye pad covers your eyes during normal use, so you shouldn't be looking at the LEDs at all. As a general rule, avoid looking directly into any bright light source — not because LED therapy light is dangerous, but simply because staring at any concentrated bright light can cause eye strain. This is the same reason you wouldn't stare directly at a bright lamp or the sun.
As long as you're wearing the mask correctly with the eye pad in place, your eyes are protected.
A note on the eye pad
The eye pad is removable for cleaning. If it becomes heavily soiled, you can detach it, rinse it with water, and allow it to dry completely before reattaching. Do not use the mask if the eye pad is not fully and securely attached — confirm there are no gaps between the pad and the mask before each session.
