The Pearl: what's in the box, parts, and care
The Pearl is a handheld device that combines EMS, Hot and Cool temperature care, and LED light in one compact unit for the face and body.
What's in the box
- The Pearl main unit (with protective cover)
- USB charging cable (Type-C)
- Instruction manual with warranty card
A wall adapter is not included. Any standard USB wall adapter rated 5V 2A or lower will work. See How to charge The Pearl for details.
Parts of The Pearl

| LED lamp | Lights red, blue, or purple depending on the mode |
| EMS button (lightning symbol) | Turns EMS on and off, changes the level, switches between Face and Body mode |
| EMS level indicator | Three lights showing the EMS level, and charging progress |
| Hot/Cool button (sun and snowflake symbol) | Turns Hot/Cool on and off and switches between Heat and Cool |
| Hot/Cool indicator | Red for Heat, blue for Cool |
| Pointer | The raised point on the back of the device, used for gentle point care |

The device and manual carry the CHOUCHOU TOKYO name, a variant spelling of our brand. It is the same company and the same product.
Cleaning after each use
- Switch the device off first.
- Wipe it with a dry, soft cloth.
- If it needs more than that, dampen a soft cloth with a little mild detergent in lukewarm water, wring it out well, wipe the surface, then wipe dry.
- Let it air dry in a well-ventilated place.
Please avoid:
- Rinsing the device or cable under water. The Pearl is not waterproof.
- Alcohol, thinners, benzene, nail polish remover, or similar solvents, which can discolour the surface.
- Drying it with a hairdryer or fan heater.
Storage
- Switch the device off and unplug the cable from both the device and the adapter before storing.
- Keep it in a cool, dry, well-ventilated place away from direct sunlight, heaters, bathrooms, and hot cars.
- Keep it out of reach of children.
- For long-term storage: charge it fully first, then use it and recharge it about once a month. A battery left empty for a long time may stop holding a charge.
- The Pearl contains a lithium-ion battery. When the time comes, please dispose of it following your local electronics recycling rules rather than in household waste.
