The Pearl: complete mode guide
The Pearl has two buttons on its side. The EMS button (lightning symbol) controls EMS, and the Hot/Cool button (sun and snowflake symbol) controls temperature. They can be used on their own or together.
EMS mode
To switch on: press and hold the EMS button for about 2 seconds. You will hear two beeps and The Pearl starts at Level 1.
To change level: briefly press the EMS button. It cycles through Levels 1, 2, and 3, with a beep each time.

When starting out, always begin at Level 1 and use it for short sessions until you are used to the sensation. If you cannot feel the EMS, check that your skin is well moisturised before raising the level, and raise it gradually.
To switch off: press and hold the EMS button for about 2 seconds.
Face mode and Body mode
Quickly double-press the EMS button to switch between Face mode and Body mode.

Hot and Cool mode
To switch on: press and hold the Hot/Cool button for about 2 seconds. You will hear two beeps and The Pearl starts in Heat.
To switch between Heat and Cool: briefly press the Hot/Cool button.

To switch off: press and hold the Hot/Cool button for about 2 seconds.
Combining EMS with Heat or Cool
Switch on both EMS and Hot/Cool to use them together. Combined care gives a more complete treatment.

To switch everything off: press and hold each button for about 2 seconds.
Good to know
- The LED lamp stays on in every mode and cannot be switched off separately.
- The Pearl switches off automatically about 4 minutes after it is turned on. This is normal.
- Never use EMS on the neck. On the neck, use Heat or Cool only.
