Is The Morpho safe for me to use?

The CHOUOHC Morpho is a multi-technology device that uses RF (radio frequency) and EMS (electrical muscle stimulation) in addition to LED and vibration. Because of these electrical and energy-based technologies, there are some important safety considerations that differ slightly from a LED-only device.

Check with your doctor first if you are:

  • Currently pregnant or breastfeeding
  • Taking medications that increase photosensitivity
  • Managing any chronic skin condition
  • Being treated by a doctor for any medical condition
  • Recovering from a serious illness

Do not use The Morpho if you have:

Medical devices or implants:

  • A pacemaker or any internal electronic medical implant — the RF and EMS technologies can interfere with electronic medical devices
  • Any other active implanted medical device (nerve stimulators, insulin pumps, etc.)
  • Life support equipment

Medical conditions:

  • Heart disease or abnormal blood pressure
  • Epilepsy or sensitivity to electrical stimulation or flashing lights
  • Active malignant tumors
  • Bleeding disorders or hemophilia
  • A febrile or acute illness
  • Weakened immune system

Skin and healing:

  • Active wounds, open skin, infections, or skin in the healing phase — do not use over affected areas
  • Skin that has recently undergone ablative laser resurfacing, chemical peels, or surgical procedures — wait until fully healed

After fillers, Botox, or cosmetic procedures

As with any facial device, allow adequate healing time after any injectable or cosmetic treatment before using the Morpho. For Botox, a minimum of 2 weeks is typically advised. For fillers, 2–4 weeks. If you have had a surgical procedure, wait until you receive clearance from your practitioner.

A note on rosacea and sensitive skin

The RF and EMS technologies in the Morpho are more active than LED therapy alone. If you have rosacea or highly reactive skin, start on the lowest intensity setting and monitor how your skin responds. If redness or irritation occurs, stop and consult a dermatologist before continuing.

General safe use

  • Always use with a serum or gel — never on dry skin
  • Remove all metal jewellery before use
  • Do not use near the eyes, on the eyelids, or directly over the thyroid area (front of the neck)
  • Do not use in the bathroom or near water
  • Stop immediately if you experience pain, burning, or any unusual reaction
