The Morpho feels uncomfortable or causes a tingling sensation during use

Some sensation is normal

The Morpho uses RF (radio frequency) and EMS (electrical muscle stimulation) technologies — both of which produce physical sensations during use. A mild tingling, warmth, or pulsing feeling is completely normal and indicates the device is working.

  • RF mode: A gentle warmth building under the skin is expected and intentional — this is the RF energy stimulating the dermis
  • EMS / MJ mode: A light tingling or muscle-twitching sensation is normal — this is the electrical stimulation activating the facial muscles
  • Vibration: A buzzing or vibrating sensation against the skin is normal

If the sensation feels too strong

The device has intensity settings — if any mode feels too intense, reduce the intensity level. Start at the lowest setting and build up gradually as your skin adapts to the treatment.

Also check that you have sufficient gel or serum on your skin — insufficient product is the most common cause of uncomfortable or uneven sensation during RF and EMS treatment. If the device is dragging on dry skin, reapply product immediately.

When to stop

Stop using the device immediately if you experience:

  • Pain or sharp discomfort at any point
  • Skin redness, rash, or irritation that doesn't settle quickly after the session
  • Any abnormal reaction that concerns you

If a reaction persists, consult a doctor or dermatologist before resuming use. Contact us at support@chouohctokyo.com if you believe there may be a device fault.
